It's not only about being able to enhance the way we look, for me it's being able to change the way we feel about ourselves. I believe everyone has an inner beauty that can be unleashed when we feel fantastic. Seeing someone's confidence level soar, their smile broaden and their eyes sparkle, gives me as much of a kick as creating the look itself.

Now freelance and based at Shine at Nine in Bude, Cornwall, I previously had my own successful makeup artistry business in East Lothian, Scotland. Trained as Retail Artist by MAC Cosmetics and working in their Edinburgh Harvey Nichols Branch for two years, I then worked as a Pro-Artist in central Edinburgh. I have been involved in numerous events within the industry including Edinburgh International Film Festival, Editorial Photoshoots, The Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show 2016 and most recently in June 2019 a Viking Themed Bridal Photoshoot featured on Bride Magazine online - www.bridemagazine.co.uk/articles/a-viking-inspired-wedding-shoot-in-devon

I love every aspect of makeup artistry. The creativity when bringing a look together with individual clients, all unique in their own way; making a Bride look sensational on the most exciting and emotional day of her life; collaborating with professionals in the industry ~ photographers, models, corporate clients ~ to achieve their vision. Having to think not just about colour, but about lighting, camera angles, light & shade, definition ~ all to get the Professional that perfect shot.
